Write Size teams up with Breakthrough Learning

Write Size Ltd, home to the World’s first ever range of age appropriate pencils specially designed to fit children’s hands to promote better handwriting has teamed up with charity “Breakthrough Learning.”  The charity, which is fast gathering support and momentum in UK helps children reach their full potential by giving them the right skill set and tools to become effective learners.

Charity co-founder, Vanessa Nichols said, “I first became aware of Write Size when researching pencils to improve my daughter’s handwriting. As a trained Mediator, I have learnt techiniques using mediated learning to identify and enhance an individual's learning potential. During my training, it became clear that I needed to provide the correct tools for each task to enable my daughter, and other children that Breakthrough Learning engages with, to reach their true potential. For writing and drawing tasks, I discovered that Write Size pencils were definitely the right tool for the job.

Write Size pencils are designed ergonomically to help children learn to write more easily and quickly. From the moment my daughter first used their pencils, she loved them - they felt comfortable in her hand, her writing was much clearer, and she was able to use the correct pencil pressure.

Write Size’s passion to offer unique products to help all children is a great fit with Breakthrough Learning and I’m excited that we are working together,” Vanessa concluded.

MD and founder of Write Size, Ross Williams said, “We are delighted to be partnering such a wonderful charity who, like us, believe in giving children the best tools for the job to enable them to succeed. We are supporting Breakthrough Learning by donating pencils for their intervention study, which is currently underway in collaboration with Reading and Kingston Universities. The study is researching the effect of using Mediated Learning to develop the cognition of children with Down’s Syndrome. We are very much look forward to seeing the results and working with Breakthrough Learning.”
